Due to a change by the Washington Capitals in the ages they include in their Learn to Play initiative, the Sabres will be hosting their own LITTLE SABRES program for 4-year olds.
This program includes all the required equipment, except not skates. Participants will receive 6 weeks of instruction.
The Sabres offers children ages 5-9 the opportunity to learn to play ice hockey at an affordable price. The Sabres have partnered with the WASHINGTON CAPITALS to provide all the required equipment (including skates) with each CCM brand item featuring the CAPS logo! We offer two levels of instruction through the season to prepare each child to start playing team hockey.
The CAPITALS have changed this program to include ages 5 to 9. See our 3-other Instructional Programs for ages 4, 10 and 11+.
For 10-year olds, designed to help prepare a player to play on a Sabres rec team. Participants will receive six weeks of instruction over each of 2 levels. Full equipment is required and is the responsibility of the player.
For ages 11 and over participants will attend practice sessions with the rec team at their age group.
Goalie clinics are offered through the Sabres organization with instruction from Wolfe Hockey! For the 2017 - 2018 season, goalie clinics are held on Saturday mornings.
