2018-19 Season - Spring LTP
ADDITIONAL PROGRAM INFORMATION:
- This program is designed for first-time players only.
- Basic skating skills are necessary to get the most out of the Learn to Play program, which includes being able to skate unassisted on the ice, not holding onto a wall or anyone’s hand, while being able to skate the width (shorter distance side-to-side) of the ice generally without falling down if just skating. As a prerequisite to the Learn to Play program, we ask that your child participates in a Learn to Skate program in order to learn the fundamentals of skating prior to the fundamentals of hockey. Learn to Skate sessions are being offered at the Capital Clubhouse year round. You can register in person at the Capital Clubhouse or by calling (301) 932-4348. The Skating Director is Sigrid Berge - firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Participants in the Learn to Play program must register online. Phone and/or in-person registration at the rink will NOT be accepted through the Washington Capitals.
- Questions? Email Megan Whalon at email@example.com
LITTLE SABRES AND 10U INSTRUCTIONAL
FOUR and TEN YEAR OLDS interested in playing hockey for the first time may participate in the Little Sabres program, which meets with the learn to play program on Saturdays at 9:35 am for 8 consecutive weeks; however, you must provide full head-to-toe gear for your player. Cost for this program is $80 ($10 per week) and a small processing charge of $4.00. You must also register your child for a USA Hockey number at usahockey.com (this is free for 4 year olds, but there is a fee for 10 year olds). Click the red "register" button below and choose the "Little Sabres - No Gear" option. The Sabres do have limited gear available to be borrowed for first time players, if necessary. Please email the little Sabres Coordinator (Megan Whalon) directly for questions regarding gear - firstname.lastname@example.org
