2026 Spring Tournament Teams
We are excited to announce that Sabres Spring hockey is returning to the Capital Clubhouse in 2026!
Age groups for spring teams will be based on the players’ age group for the upcoming 2026/2027 season:
10U: 2016 and 2017 Birth year.
12U: 2014 and 2015 Birth year.
14U: 2012 and 2013 Birth year.
16U: 2010 and 2011 Birth year.
18U: 2008 and 2009 Birth year.
The players’ current USA Hockey number will be acceptable for the Spring Hockey Season as this number is good until August 2026.
Spring Hockey teams will be put together based upon registration numbers, and a one day tryout. We will fill as many teams as registration numbers, available coaches, and available goalies allow. Everyone who attends tryouts is NOT guaranteed to be placed on a team.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email which contains a payment link for tryouts. TRYOUT COST IS $25. Please complete your registration by using that link to register for tryouts.
After tryouts, if you are placed on a team, you will receive a payment link for the Spring Hockey team. Cost for the team is $340, and is due in full upon registering.
Tryouts will be held the morning of Sunday March 29th, 2026. Tryout times for each age group are as follows:
7a-8a: 10U
8:10a-9:10a: 12U
9:20a-10:20a: 14U
10:30a-11:30a: 16U
11:40a-12:40p: 18U
Registration fee includes 4 practices, and one tournament. Date and location of tournament TBD by coach of each team.
Practices for each team will be half ice, and 1 hour in length. Practice dates/times will be finalized once the number of teams is established, and coaches availability is confirmed.
More detailed information on number of teams for each age group, coaches, and tryout times will be sent out at that time as well.
